Was anybody successful on Avonex, but still decided to switch to tecfidera anyway? How is it working for you?

I was on Avonex, stopped working. Then Copaxone, never worked. Next was Tysabri, worked well, no side effects. Switched because my veins were very scarred after 6 years and I have a positive JC virus status. Now: Tecfidera for six weeks. Taking a pill is FANTASTIC! Also, this drug is more effective than every other drug except Tysabri.

I receive $$ support from Ms Active Support, for Avonex and was told they would help with Tecfidera for this drug is made by the same company. They pay $90 of my $100 copay each month and at the start of the year they helped me with my deductible.

I've been on Avonex for 15+ years. No problems.

I was on Avonex hated the side effects. On Tecfidera and love it.

I have used Avonex for 12 years. If it ain't broke don't fix. Worked pretty well for me.
