Hi Everyone,

I am three weeks out on my first tysabri treatment. My walking is getting worse and worse. If I stand for longer than 30 minutes,, I have horrible back spasms, and collapse. I am new at this. could this be a progression of the disease?

Hi CarolanaSongs - I am coming up on my 10th tysabri infusion. When I started, I was not able to stand for over a few minutes, walking was of balance and I was using a cane. It took about 4 months that those symptoms got better and better. I no longer need a cane, can walk up and down steps, and have good balance. Just hang in there for awhile, wishing you the best!

I have been on Tysabri for two years. I had my worse attack the first two months after I started. However, I have not had another episode since! I think you body has to adjust.

Hi Carolana,
Friday will be my 10 infusion and it does not do nearly as good as Gilenya. I am asking my Neuro if I can go back to it.

Thank you ENG that helps me a lot. It is scary the first few times.

Thank you Debbie, that makes me feel so much better about Tysabri. It sounds as though you have to get worse before you get better with Tysabri. LOL
