What kind of experiences have others had with past relapses showing their ugly heads again. My first major relapse that got my Dx was my face being totally numb on the left side. It still comes and goes at times, not as bad as the first time but a little more noticeable every day.

I continue to have pain in my left ankle since my last relapse 12 years ago. Rebif works to keep my MS stable along with Healthy diet and exercise.

After 27 years of symptoms and flare-ups, now, when I am tired or worn out as we can get, a lot of previous symptoms show up. Those will always be with us, there is a lesion there and that is like a marker.

I had Bells Palsey at the age of 9 and have always wondered if its linked to MS. At the age of 24 I had optic neuritis on my left eye. I was diagnosed at the age of 35 (2 years ago). I had numbness on my left side and that's when they did all the testing.

When I was young, ages 10 and 12, the left side of my face went numb. They dx me with Bells Palsey. Then right before I was dx with MS it was happening again. Then I was dx with MS. Makes me wonder if I had MS as a child and the technology just wasn't there. I'm 39 now.
