I find myself being in a bad mood alot, is it just me & my personality or is it the ms?
I have always been a moody person. It must be the Gemini in me. HA!
I do know that MS does have an emotional component to it. Also, interferons can cause depression as well as other meds. For me, I get situational depression and once I sort out my feelings, it goes away.
I believe that we have the power to choose how we want to be and how we want to react. Most days, I choose Happiness. On down days, I give myself to be sad or angry.
My mood always seems to depend on how I am feeling. As you know, that can change from day to day or even minute to minute.
I hope you find a way to deal with your bad moods.
@Journei I chose to go seek therapy when mine first started, if for no other reason than to sort out my own feelings on my diagnosis. I have found it really helpful with dealing with the anger side. It's hard to tell if mood changes are caused solely by the MS or if its a case of having it as well as having MS. If nothing else, its a good, safe place to try to sort that out. Hope this helps.
I find myself angry at times too. I'm not angry about having MS. It just happens that I get in a bad mood. I do take an antidepressant but that doesn't seem to work. I want to see a therapist. I tried and the person I saw was horrible. So I need to try again. Good luck!!
I was always happy, had a smile on my face always, until recently. When major things happened in my life. Recently told by my neuro I have PBA from a lesion in my frontal lobe. It can be managed with Nuedexta, talk to your doc.
Heck yeah it's the MS, better yet trying to live with MS. This is a very stressful disease.
