Extreme cold feels great. Its heat and humidity I can't handle. I live in Buffalo, NY, so I get a good 6 months where I feel great. The cold takes away pain and swelling. In the heat, I loose balance and the pain increases.

For me MS is worse either way too hot or too cold. Everybody's MS is a little different.

I just melt in the heat. Luckily, California is dry heat because added humidity just makes it that much worse. My vision and hearing will go in and out and my speech will begin to slur. Once I cool down, do do the symptoms.

I seem to do way better in the cooler weather.

I keep my house at 70 degrees year round so I found that if I keep my body temperature balanced, I do better.

I read everyones comments about weather. I live in tampa, I love the sunshine and beach, but too much heat and I need a wheelchair ready to pass out while searching for some ac...My husband is military and ready to retire. I am told san diego is the place to be for ms because it is not too hot and not too cold. I lived in colorado my whole life and when moving to nc, I found out I had ms...I was told it was in dormit due to 7 pregnancies. The ms center here in tampa has helped me stay out the hospital taking tysobri and now tecifedera. we thought about going back to colorado, but coldness freezes my toes and fingers so bad I can't hold anything...I am claiming a permanent cure one day...thanks all, san diego here we come!

Give me the heat any day. Sure, it can make me a little wobbly, and makes it difficult to play golf. But the extreme cold makes my spasticity worse. My legs lock up and I find myself walking like the Frankenstein monster. I live in Michigan and I wish I could trade places with those in Florida wanting to move up north.
