On my legs and feet I freeze to the point its extremely painful. Then at the same time my upper body is overheated and hot? Do others deal with this? How do you handle it? Is this normal with MS?

Oh yea! You can touch one part of my leg, it would be hot and then lower part would be cold. My hands do that too. My arms would be cold and my hands fire hot! I've had to lay ice packs on my hands because they get so hot and painful. Very, very strange!

Yes I get cold flashes and hot flashes too. lol I keep socks and slippers on all the time. I also have hit menopause, but still can't get away from the blasted fem products due to my bladder... GGRR My internal thermostat has been broke for years. lol These are symptoms of Diabetes too, as well as neuropathy. In the winter, I get cold to the bone sometimes. Moist heating pad might help or an electric blanket. I have to watch dryness in the winter too so I stay with the moist heat. But an old fashioned soak in a hot bath is great in winter for me. I just dread getting out and wrap up like a mummy. heh I hope you are seeing your doctor to rule out any blood pressure issues. Internal stress can affect your bp and so does a teenager. lol I jumped up to 155 one small dose of Lisinopril got it down to 130. I take Omega 3 to watch the cholesterol. It was 169 with 55 HDL so my LDL is 114. HDL s/b 40+ and one omega 3 a day keeps the good (HDL) at 55 which means it helps keep the bad (LDL) cholesterol in check.

LOL Yes, my feet are so cold in winter even the Grinch's dog moves back home for warmth... rofl THAT is babaababa bad. I am glad to be moving to post menopause. Holy Spinning Thermostats Batman! Sweating, hot and then chills on my arms if A/C is on. So cold to the bone in the winter that I couldn't sleep. So I would get up at Midnight to boil potatoes for the steaming heat in the kitchen and hover over the pot while making instant hot cocoa. (TY Swiss Miss, I luv u.) Then, drag my huge cover down, cuddle in the chair and finally get warm enough to sleep, sleep crooked, draped over the chair arm, feel like a pretzel in the morning. Joy, it's morning! Then the time/days I spend using vats of intense therapy lotion on the lower part of my legs (ankles to knees) -- fire engine red like chapped, dry. ?? I could bathe in lotion and it would be dry like I did nothing in 24 hours. In the summer, that seems to get better but it is starting already this year the second my body suspects Old Man Winter is on his way, it goes into cray cray mode.

I don’t experience such extreme hot and cold. But my one leg and hand get very cold while the rest of my body is ok. As far as using a heating pad, I would be very careful, you could burn yourself. Also a very warm bath makes me weak. Or I should say it did, I am no longer able to get in a tub and if I did I would be afraid I couldn’t get out. Just be careful what ever you try.
Stay safe.
