Since my MS diagnosis i have had 5 different dr.s tell me they believe i have Lupus and i need to see a Lupus specialist.I never have though i have enough without adding another problem to my life to deal with and the thought of adding even more pills and more drugs in my life is not appealing i can barely keep track of everything i take now.So i gues what im wanting to know is if anyone has had this happen what did you do?how did you handle it and the added drs. visits and added pills?

I have a few other auto-immune diseases. It seems to be common to have more than one.

I was dx with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis about one year after my MS dx. Just another thing to take care of.

It seems that my health has become my full time job. I hope you find a way to deal with this. Be well.

Yes, I've been diagnosed with RA (already knew of the osteoarthritis) and Hashimoto Thyroiditis. I have been checked and rechecked for Lupus and tested negative (thank you). I have Migraines and related to the MS I now have PBA. My rheumatologist just ordered two additional blood test today and some lab testing to see how progressive the RA is. She has also prescribed 2 more medications. I don't even know how I'm going to fit 2 more into my daily routine. She did say that maybe, just maybe I might be able to stop the plaquenil! I said that would be great as I really hate the feeling of sandpaper in my eyes and am tired of the eye drops. Heck, I even bore myself with all of this crap. I don't have time for much else. Count out pills, take pills! What a life. Don't worry, I'm smiling.

@LeaGuthrie Auto-immune disease is the general term for a whole slew of things. I would think about or find out which one is giving you the most trouble. Ask for the advise of the professionals which of the auto-immune diseases you should be most concerned with.

Yes, I've had Type I diabetes since I was 10, as well as Hashimotos, and I was told eyars ago that I had pre-rheumatoid arthritis, though I haven't heard anything about that since. So three and counting, I guess...

Quincy, thought I was losing it a little. Over the past couple months I've heard a loud "gunshot" sound in my head about 3 times that I couldn't and didn't want to explain to anyone. After your post I googled it and it seems we are not alone. It's called Exploding Head Syndrome. Thank goodness it didn't hurt!
