Does anyone else have back pain related to MS? I have had severe shooting pain right below my right shoulder blade. The pain seems deeper than the muscle, because I can even pinpoint where it is. Don't know if it is the MS, the RA or a bad mattress... or a combination of all of them!
I still don't understand why so much of the medical field keeps saying MS is a painless disease. Spend five minutes here or at any other MS patient site, and you quickly realize that pain is the norm, not the exception!
Directly related to MS or not, I don't care, just help us!!!
Yes I have awful pain in my shoulders but I also have a lesion in my spine so that has a lot to do with it but the pain never leaves! Good luck
The pain in my back was one of my first symptons. I worked up to taking high doses of neurontin but recently have had to cut back because my body wasn't able to handle the high doses. I've had to cut back three times and now just live with the pain.
I have syringomyelia from C2 to C7 that causes widespread neuropathic pain, muscle spasms especially in the hands, possible numbness and a really odd symptom of terrible hot sweats not related to menopause. It took an mri without contrast and with contrast to diagnose it. I am now trying neck nerve block epidurals and if that is not satisfactory, I go to the neurosurgeon to discuss a laminectomy. You might want to check it out.
almost feels like shoulders are out of socket....happens alot at night for me....but yes I know that pain all too well
