Baclofen doesn't work for everyone. Let your MD know its not doing anything and ask him to recommend something else. Keep trying until one works for you. Flexeril is an older medication but does help with spasms. It just has some side effects like feeling drowsy/ tired. Some are best used at night. Make sure you use them as directed. In addition start a stretching program or Yoga. It helps immensely:)
Baclofen made my legs numb and within a short time I gained 30 lbs. Did not work well for me.
I was just asking this same thing today! Here is my post:
have started Baclofen for my spasticity. After just one day of using it, the next morning my gait was worse than before taking it. It really helped my pain and spasticity in my back and neck almost immediately! I'm just wondering why my gait was worse and now again today (after 2nd day of taking) my legs are locked up again and they weren't before I started. YES, they have been many times but I'm just saying that it's like my spasticity has 'come out of the closet' more now that I started treating it! Does any of this make sense? LOL!
