Canmore, AB

I live in a small town where olympic athletes are nearly as common as average joes (or janes). Most people live extremely active lives here. I find it very difficult to get friendly with people when they are on a bike, long board etc... Even when people are at social events they seem to steer away from the guy on crutches.
Theres nearly noone with MS in my town so its not like I can relate to anyone.

So heres my question...

What do YOU do to meet new people...

You can't beat a truely caring group of Christians. I am not sure why, but God has a way of connecting people in a way that does not happen in other places...

Good Luck

Ok so Ill say it... You cant beat a caring group of ANY religion... With that said i was born and raised Bahai. So i believe all religions need to unite and treat each other as the same.
With that said I really dislike christmass's negative side, so you can see why I would rather not get into a cristian social environment.

Aside from that I do have some acquaintances that are cristian. But each one of them constantly try to convince me that I MUST BELIEVE IN CRIST..... While i remind them every time that I do... As much as Buddha, Mohamed etc.

It frustrates me as a bahai that people cant understand that Just cuz i dont attend THERE church doesnt mean i dont believe in God Crist or any other religious prophit.

Yes it most certainly is arabic. Just to clarify i dont think you were offending anyone / thing. That however doesnt change the fact that I TRY not to associate at ANY official level as having chosen any religion over another and that in its own seems to attract the "converters".

See its more of a dilema. I'd love to meet new people but most people have a strong religious back ground. There fore they tend to have opinions that come in direct conflict with mine. At that point I tend to CHOOSE to not be interested anymore.

So I need activities etc that arent political, religious or heavy on the lower limbs :P
