Some woman at pt overheard me say I have MS and asked me if I was following the MS diet similar to the Mediterranean diet and did it help? Um.... Well... I have no idea because I had no idea what diet she was talking about so I thought I would ask you guys... Is there a special diet that helps with ms symptoms ? I assume gluten free because that seems to help everyone... Thoughts?

I'm trying a microbiotic vegan life style again I've done it before and felt great it 's hard to stick to and harder to start when you can't remember where you put your book on it!

I have researched nutrition and supplements for many years. I believe food should be our medicine. The diet the woman was talking about is literally called The Mediterranean Diet. There are books on it and even a Dummies Book ( I prefer those since i get bored easy). The basis of the diet is vegetables, not the starchy kind, very lean protein, and the backbone of the diet...Olive oil. This diet is all about the MUFA's (monounsaturated fatty acids). There are plenty of diets to try out there. I read these books for fun ( Im so not kidding). The main thing i see in common with alot of the diets for auto immune diseases is that they are mostly raw veggies and fruits and absolutely no processed foods. Honestly I could go on forever about this so if you really want to ask questions or bounce ideas around you can message me :)

I've been on the wahls-paleo also for about six months. I know for sure it helps with fatigue and tingling. I decided to eat whatever I wanted over the holidays, and I saw a BIG return of symptoms. It's not a cute, but it really helps.

I've been on the. "Paleo" style diet for a couple months ( the Terry Wahls type diet). I believe it makes a difference for me. More energy and less pain I think! Worth a try!

The one diet that I have heard the most about, is the one developed by Dr. Terry Wahls. I personally have not tried it, but the materials that I have read about it were impressive.
