Has anyone experienced numbness in one or both feet? If you have, what treatments have you tried?
Currently, both of feet have this numb sensation on the bottom of the foot and feel swollen but they aren't. Last time this happened, my neurologist suggested IV SoluMedrol. I was out of work for 3 weeks and during those 3 weeks I had a nurse come to my house and set up an IV.
I just started a new job and I cannot afford to be out. Please, if anyone has any suggestions, let me know! Thank You
I sometimes find sipping on ice water all day helps my numbness lessen. And keeping myself a little cooler.
I have had extreme numbness in both feet for at least 25 years. I wish I had a remedy. It drives me crazy...especially at night.
Ice. I sat at a desk and was able to put my bare feet on ice packs. It dulled the numbness. Socks and shoes were painful to wear. Luckily is was summer and flip flops were tolerable.
It's funny how we all get the same things but handle them so differently. My feet always feel numb & cold & my toes are all mis-shapened & painful. I am the most uncomfortable when I wear shoes. Aroud the ouse I never wear shows. I go barefoot. Without shoes my feet have better contact with the floor & I feel I'm less likely to fall.
I had 6 weeks of numbness with both legs and it for the most part got better..no meds. Thats how we found my RRMS. Dont think that helps, but I made sure to watch my feet for injuries and to wear shoes at all times so I had better footing and avoided injuries.
