I am just curious. I have really low Vitamin D Levels and I am not sure if it is from the MS or the Crohn's disease or what. I have been taking Vitamin D look almost 3000 units a day and it still hasnt been able to rise.
I have very low levels of vitamin D and the doctor prescribed 1000mg twice a day. They made me feel very nauseous. I tried 1 a day and still couldn't take it. I started drinking a protein drink that helps maintain muscles that has Omega 3 & and a lot of vitamins including D. So far so good!!
@A MyMSTeam Member,@A MyMSTeam Member. I buy my vitamin D3 drops on-line from quantum nutrition health. It's called D3 Gold. It's .5 fl oz and that last's me for a month at 10 drops per day. It doesn't cost very much, so no guilt. Here's the link.

I take 5000 units 2-3 x a week, prescription.
I take vitamin D3 drops with 2000 iu's per drop. I take 8-10 drops per day, so up to 20000 iu's, and my vitamin D levels are great!
I am on the low end of normal. Low Vit D seems to be very common in MS'ers. I live in sunny California and always played outside growing up so it seems to be a mystery to me like everything else.
