Does anyone not disclose all of their symptoms to their spouse because they don't want to look weak or like they are just whining.

I don't like talking about my MS to either friends or family. But I do if asked. Sometimes, though, when asked it's difficult to find the right words to describe how I'm feeling, if anyone knows what I mean.

Cue music and song ..."oh yeah ...." definitely I don't tell them everything for reasons all given here....
They don't understand; don't want to sound like I'm just whining..... again "oh yeah..."

I Do not share much of the daily struggles and pass it off as I'm ok. Do not want to become a bigger focus or distraction from my wife's life. I am still pretty independent and the only clue she has is when I am totally lethargic all day.
Put on the game face when in public which may also be a curse, as I have just been notified that the Insurance company has dismissed my coverage. They do not truly understand the impact of MS. Looks can be deceiving. I don't want sympathy or hand outs, I just want peace and sense of purpose.

It's so hard. I wish sometimes that he could "see" how I feel. On the outside I look fine. I feel like I always have to say it and then I feel like I'm whining. I don't really want anything- just someone to listen. Sometimes I feel really alone in my discomfort. I usually just keep it to myself

I don't tell mine everything. After 4 years I still get the "I know how you feel" thing. One day I will lose it and come back with "No you don't because if you did you would have MS too." So no I don't tell my spouse everything.
