Does anyone else have a progression of their existing symptoms with no new lesions on their MRI? My MRIs have been coming back stable, (thank you God). But lately some of my existing symptoms seem to have started to progress, especially the fatigue.
Yes, my doctor said there is not always a correlation nap between lesions and progression of symptoms. I always thought they went together.
Mee too. I have gradually progressed in symptoms over past couple years. I can look back a few months and wish I had some of THOSE abilities back. I have had pseudo exhaserbations but nothing SERIOUSLY scary and MRIs show very little change. Doc mentioned at my appt a week ago that I may be secondary prog but he " had to think on it" cuz I haven't been diagnosed for 10 years. That is annoying to because first, I had serious issue and saw ms years before documented Dx (as seen on old MRIs by a new doc). So just because I didn't have it on paper doesn't mean it wasn't wrong in beginning. Second, don't put me by your book if you also say it is different for everyone.
I see my disease change a lot no matter my MRIs showing only minimal change.
I also have a stable MRI and never any enhancing lesions. However my disability has continued. I have had several "pseudo" exacerbation due to stress and fatigue that have ended me in the hospital for steroid treatment. I asked my neuro if I had progressed to secondary and he asked me if I was progressing and I said yes so he agreed. Not sure if that was really an answer. I can measure my progression by looking at what I could do last year that I can't do this year.
I too have had progression without getting new lesions. My Neuro told me that MS is always working regardless of lesions.
I definately feel my fatigue and cognition are worse, and my MRI is stable. Who knows why???
