Antidepressants And Rebif

A MyMSTeam Member asked a question 💭

Is anyone taking Lexapro (escitalopram) and Rebif? I'm curious if I should switch to another antidepressant. Can anyone tell me positive or negative reactions. I will be starting Rebif next wk and so far Lexapro has been great other than causing increased sweating. I have also read reviews of interactions causing gallstones when used with Rebif.

I had horrible reactions to Lexapro. But then I react badly to any kind of drug. My neuro immediately put me on 4 prescription drugs. Just wish I'd realized sooner that my befuddled mind was due to the drugs. My neuro insisted I was just experiencing normal MS cognitive disorders, so I stayed on Lexapro longer than I should have. Such a relief when I finally decided to stop taking it.

I quit Rebif in November and started Aubagio. I started Lexapro about the same time. I've been getting along great with both.
