I just did my first round of steroid infusion about a week ago. I was lucky that my relapse was not noticed by me but by my neurologist on my MRI. Since then I haves has some very weird nerve pain. Especially yesterday while speaking with a co worker when I felt as thought I was jolted up my right arm. The steroids the sevens were not that bad and I didn’t get physically ill from them. Did experience a racing heart and had a difficult time sleeping.

The steroids can cause discomfort as you come off of the infusions. Even the oral taper is not enough to overcome the huge doses involved with the IV pulse.

I haven't experienced pain with steroids. But I didn't have it as a symptom before I took them. Let us know what your neuro says. I would be interested to learn. Good luck and I hope it passes soon.

It could be part of healing process. It may be as simple as you had numbness with relapse and feeling is coming back. It could be neurological signal reaching one muscle but not the other which causes them to hurt. There are various things it could be. I would talk with your neurologist.
