Can anyone share with me their experience with having ms and pregnancy?
Felt great while pregnant and others will tell you the same! There is even a new drug in the works that mimics a pregnancy hormone Estriol. After the baby is born, however, you are at a greater risk for a bad relapse so be sure you are on good meds.
I had a healthy baby and felt great when pregnant. No MS symptoms. I didn't have a relapse afterwards. However, I did develop an allergy to the MS medication I took before pregnancy. I resumed the same medication after my daughter was born and had an anaphylactic reaction. My body chemistry changed. When I changed medication, I did my first shot in the doctors office in case I have a bad reaction. It went well.
My first child was before I was diagnosed I felt great wondered why people were always complaining about being pregnant
My second I had to go off of the meds 3 months before because I am in Tysabri but as soon as she was born and we were released I was back at neurologist for Tysabri again
I have been told Copaxone is the only medication approved while pregnant and breast feeding. All the other drugs have warnings and they don't know what harm it will do. I wish you luck.
I always hit add too soon
The hormones from the pregnancy tend to calm the ms down
Both my kids were born healthy son even got a 9 on the apgar score the pregnancies from what I hear tend to be normal
