I have been taking for years. I think its one of the reasons my progression has been slow.

My answer seems to have disappeared so I will reply again! I love LDN! No side effects other than vivid dreams in the beginning. I found out about LDN a few years ago (from another MS site). I had been taking provigil for many years but our new insurance would not pay for it. I was a mess with mind fog and excessive fatigue/sleepiness. LDN cured that without the ups and downs of provigil/nuvigil. There was a recent article calling LDN a miracle drug for MS.

Lowdosenaltrexone.org. discusses the use of LDN for MS, chrohns disease (study done at U. If Pa. For Chrohns)...has also been used for some cancers. LDN boosts endorphins...taken in 3 to 4.5 mg dosage. Doseage for narcotics and alcohol is 50 mg.
Read about Dr.Bihari in England beginning the use of LDN years ago. I have been on it for ten years or more, and have only had about 5 exacerbations in all those years. Two of which occurred after stopping LDN in order to have surgery, and take narcotics. I am not speaking from my readings, I am speaking from my experiences. Don't mean to be argumentative, but I also do not want others to miss out on the benefits of LDN. There are numerous others on this site, who have had the same positive benefits, and all for the price of $56/ 3 months.

Coollioness. It isn't really suppose to DO anything _, other than lessen exacerbations.....in my mind, how do you know it isn't lessening relapses, when you don't know how many you would have had without it?

Yes it is! I live in NY and they ship to me in a couple of days. I will always stay on LDN - it really makes a huge difference to me. Only costs $75 for a 3 month supply of the 4.5mg. I just read about a pharmaceuticsl company investing in clinical trials. Good for the "proof" needed for neuros but I'm sure they will charge big $$$ for something so inexpensive! Skips can also advise on docs writing scrips in your area. They are not open until Monday however!
