I have MS and all of these tender spots and joint pain. Random pains really. I'm afraid that if I ask my doctor about it that she will just think I'm self diagnosing or dismiss it
But when I have complained about specific pain, imaging has been done and there was always something physically wrong. Degenerative disc disease, torn muscle in my foot (causing leg and hip pain), herniated & torn discs
I just feel like something else is going on, contributing to the brain fog, fatigue, and pain;… read more

Yes, you can. One of the problems with MS (out of the many problems), is that doctors, friends, and even yourself can get into a pattern of blaming every symptom or illness on MS. Headaches? Must be my MS (when it could be migraines). Back pain? Must be my MS (when you could have a herniated disc or degenerative disc disease...I happen to have both of those on top of my MS...just had back surgery to take out a herniated disc). Flu-like symptoms? Must be my MS (when it could be the flu). In fact, people with MS have a HIGHER risk of developing other autoimmune disorders (such as lupus, fibro, rheumatoid arthritis, etc). So yes!! You could totally have both.

Yes, unfortunately. Between MS, Addison's, Fibro, degenerative disk, herniated disks, my back and leg pain is constant. I tool Lyrica years ago, but I packed on too much weight. Neurontin is the only thing my Dr says will help... He is SO WRONG

I have several auto immune diseases. They can go hand in hand. Along with MS, I have Celiac and Fibro. So yes, you can have it.
