I have (spells) or episodes that I go through where I feel shaky, loopy, and way off balance. I try to work through it, but the more off balanced I get. Does anyone know what is causing this and am I the only one going through this?

Members strongly related to the experience of dizziness and loss of balance, with many confirming these are common MS symptoms that affect their daily lives. Several members shared helpful strategies including using a cane or walker, taking medications like Meclizine or Gabapentin, staying hydrated, avoiding rapid movements, and checking for underlying issues like ear infections or UTIs. A recurring theme was emotional encouragement, with many reminding each other that managing stress, pacing yourself, and leaning on community support are just as important as any medical treatment.

It could be a sign that you may be "over-doing" what your body wants which is to "rest". I find taking breaks can help. Now to get the motivation to start again is another topic.🙃

Vertigo is a common of MS. I take Meclizine (Antivert) when I get a particularly bad episode. Dehydration which also causes blood pressure to tank will do that too. I’ve learned to:

stay well hydrated (to the point I’m not thirsty or have a headache)

No rapid turns or bending

Check my blood pressure (know your normal level)

No games or visual cues that will make me dizzy
