My attacks usually last 3-4 weeks but my last one lasted over 5 months. Once it started going away it left number of residual symptoms that are now with me for ever and I am not at all the same any more. But I certainly hope yours will end with the full recovery. It is not unusual for an attack to last all the way to 3 months and still end with the full recovery. And it doesn't mean that the next one will come sooner or be as long. It just is what it is in the moment. Stay active as much as you can comfortably and get a lots of rest mentally as well as physically. Stress is NOT our friend

My symptoms are slowly leaving, forgot what it felt to feel sensation LOL..but taking it day by day!

My symptoms last about a month or so. For me, when they go away it's very gradual and slow. Then one day I just realize, "Hey, symptoms are completely gone!." Hope your symptoms clear up SOON!

My worst lasted almost 5 months.

@Jerlisab30- Have you received any steroids for this or have you chosen to ride it out? For myself, I have had relapses go months (6+) before I see my Neurologist for it, but once the IV steroids are started, my symptoms usually start resolving around the 3rd day. I despise steroids so I tend to wait it out until I just can't stand being numb, etc anymore. I am currently in a relapse right now and sought out my Neuro within a week because this is the first time an exacerbation has ever been painful for me. Unfortunately, my deductible has not been met and I would have had to pay $500 up front fot the IV. Needless to say, that didn't happen but I am taking Tegretol for the pain and its helping, so I'm happy. It has been 2 months now and I still get small twinges that let me know its not over yet. Sorry, that was a longwinded reply. Basically, steroids speed up the resolution process but the duration is subjective. I hope you make a speedy recovery!
