Has anyone gone through the process if filing for disability?

I got mine at 6 months from being diagnosed filled papers out while in rehab they helped me. I could not work and all my Dr. were on board. You have to not work for at least 6 months or planing to not I think. It takes awhile I got lucky but at the time I could't walk or ues my hands and arms.

I took a short term disability. I got a letter from my doctor stating I couldn't work.

Yes and I was denied3 times even with all Dr. Letters, reports and much more!! I finally had to get an attorney.. Heard and Smith in San Antonio and got it!

if your doctor backs your claim it goes thru first try

Yes, describe every second of your typical day....in DETAIL! Don't leave out anything. And, if you are working, you will probably be denied. If you can't fill out the form, you can make an appointment with your local SS office and they will help you. You can also do it online.
