I've been on tecfidera for a year and a half and had great success. Then this week I came down with shingles. I am just wondering if there is a connection.

I've only been on Rebif, but a year ago I had an awful bout of shingles. My neuro didn't see any conection to my MS or any meds. I'm 69yrs.old & I did have chicken pox so he put it down to that.

My neuro says there's no connection but strongly disagree with her evertime I have an outbreak.

I recommend discussing it with your neurologist. It makes sense that they may be linked since Shingles is a virus. At least one study says so.

Hi I've been on Avonex for 6 yrs and shingles is something I've dealt with about 4 times a year. I was thinking it was the Avonex but I think it's part of having MS.
