Was wondering if anyone experiences sensitive startle reflexes? Had trouble sleeping last night. Finally fell asleep and was resting well. My husband got up left our bedroom and blew his nose in the bathroom and the sound startled me awake and the muscle jerking and twitching began in arms and legs. Strong jerks have subsided but still have the little twitches under my skin in my arms and shoulders. My arms feel exhausted like I just finished lifting weights. Think this is an MS thing or not?
I don't have to be startled to have twitches. I have them in my hands, feet, arms and legs throughout the day. They are a nuisance especially when typing or texting.
I have those little twitches in my arms, hands, and some on the face.
@A MyMSTeam Member thanks for the response. Do you get little twitches, like the ones she explained above, just under the skin muscles twitch?
I’ve had the twitches for over a year and a 1/2. It’s definitely an MS symptom. I’m not sure what causes it. When I get startled my hands and arms swing like crazy. It’s hard to stop them.
