Does me make u a giant emotional wreck? I can think of something then I'll break down crying for no reason. I feel like an emotional basket case, it's driving me insane.
Yes! It is for sure. I have issues with depression which is very commen. It is so frustrating having MS. People just don't understand, because I look pretty healthy. I am on Cymbalta. It helps. Hang in there. Reach out for support and ask for help. It's ok to need help. It's ok to have a good cry once in awhile as well. God Bless you! Hope you are feeling more hopeful soon.
MS can cause depression and many people with MS have depression. You just need to have your Dr get you on the correct antidepressant for you. I have had the exact same situation. I am now taking Duloxetine(Generic Cymbalta).Cymbalta can help with pain issues as well. Hang in there! See about getting appropriate meds and just take as good care of your self as possible.
So sorry Tammy, wish I could say it doesn't have anything to do with MS, but it does. Some worse than others. Your medicine can have an effect on it too. They need to watch the kinds of drugs they are putting you on cause some don't mix well together.
I am experiencing the same thing. I am newly diagnosed so I attributed it to adjustment and acceptance. I am not depressed just an "emotional basket case" as you phrased it. I would for sure, mention it to your doctor.
I understand your frustration. I break down all of the time. It seems that whenever I have "pressure" in my brain from anything from singing too loudly to standing up to quickly, or trying to speak and stuttering, my brain manifests it as crying. If I get control of my breathing and relaxation, it usually is much better. I'm sorry you have to go through it. The crying is one of the primary reasons I can no longer perform my job as a Contracts Negotiator.
