I have been having hassles with my legs for several years. My right leg will go into an exaggerated rise when it try to take a step. My left leg will often just freeze in midstride.

The cramps in legs and feet can be due to low potassium. I added some potassium and that helped mine a lot! Try eating a banana each day and see if that helps. (I also addes a few drops of saturated solution of potassium iodide in a glass of water, that I had on had for quick relief from the foot cramps - but you would need a prescription for that.)

Dear @A MyMSTeam Member - Well, the danger, I think is that some of us can dismiss symptoms that need attention as being symptoms of our MS, when we may need an appropriate specialist - an ophthalmologist, cardiologist etc. I've encountered that a number of times on this site. It's important to keep in mind that, while we may have MS, we can also have other problems that need attention, that are not related to our MS, at the risk of ignoring something serious! Yes, we all have MS - but we can have other health issues that need attention also. We shouldn't assign everything to MS, and a neurologist is a poor substitute for more general health care. Have a good evening!

Isn't kind of strange that we all have ms and we all have this problem, but yet the docs won't say they are related. Hummmm I'm not buying it. Anyway try quinine it works for me. for both, cramps and restless legs.

Mine can range from an achy feeling in my muscles to a "Charles horse" in either leg in any spot (or both) or butt or back. For me they are extremely sporadic, and may last just a few minutes or days. I can't imagine how this could be helpful....
