MRI can be used for body parts other than the brain... I had one done for my lumbar spine 20 years ago (and yes you go in the machine head to toe :( )A CAT (or CT the same thing) is used more for bone issues, while an MRI is used for soft tissue issues, brain and spinal cord. Last big difference is a CT scan uses radiation while an MRI does not.
cat scan and ct scan are the same.MRI and CT scan can be used for everywhere of your body. ct scan uses X ray that is not good for body but so far MRI was not harmful for human.
CT & CAT scan as far as I know are the same thing & help doctors see better details 4 the whole body than an X-ray & the MRI in most hospitals is only 4 the brain but I think they are starting 2 get MRI machines 4 the whole body WE ARE LUCKY 2 B WITNESS 2 THE DEVELOPMENT OF BETTER TECHNOLOGY & I BELIEVE THE CURES 2 MANY ILLNESS & DISEASES 💕
all i know it the MRI will show more detail. i had a ct when i first had symptoms then an MRI to verify MS
Thank you everyone for your insights to my inquiry! I appreciate you.
