Thanks for the info. She's tried meds but they don't help her. Her urologist suggested a Bladder stimulator. It is an electronic device like a pacemaker for your bladder. Some wires are implanted in the spine to the nerves that control the bladder and through the tummy to a pacemaker type of device. My sister talked to her neurologist today and he said as long as she could still have an MRI it was OK to try.
I also have retention issues...can't really feel myself urinate...really just kind of like an open faucet... Trying to keep emptying as best I can to avoid UTIs ...really want to save drug and/or self cathing till I must
@A MyMSTeam Member I don't know what a bladder stimulator is? My bladder needs Oxybutynin to control the flow. It tightens up the muscle around the Bladder and gives me more control.
@A MyMSTeam Member I have problems going as well but I just deal with it because it goes away and comes back. My neuro ask me if I would like meds but I told him not right now.
