Fatigue Medication
Has anyone taken medicine to help fight fatigue? If so, has it helped and have you had any bad side effects?
I first tried Amantadine, which didn't help at all. Then neuro gave me samples of Provigil. That didn't seem to help, only gave me headaches. I'm currently on Ritalin with great success. I have my life back with some afternoon fatigue, which is nothing like what it was.
They gave me methylphenidate yesterday. I have taken before and it does help.:-)
My neurologist from the day one insisted that I start antidepressants that might ease my fatigue as well. They indeed eased my emotional state but not the fatigue. Sorry...
My Neurologist prescribed Adderall which helps me quite a little. I don't take it every day, Just when I have things to do. I was on a drug called Nuvagil which worked great but my insurance co. would not approve it.
I have MVP and have taken ritalin with no issues, adderall with no issues, and nuvigil with no issues on it. The ritalin and adderall helped, nuvigil just made me sick. I don't like to take whichever everyday, cause there can be highly addictive. I just dont like any of them really, they kill my appetite which is weak from Aubagio to start. Ritalin and adderall you can get generic which is a huge relief on my wallet
