I know this is a really morbid question,i was only diagnosed november 2014 so still learning about this disease but i have a very real fear that ms will shorten my life drastically.Does this disease do this ??? sorry for being so depressive just a question i need to know the truth about.
MS does not kill you, only makes you wish you were dead sometimes. No really, there are good and bad days. Take them one at a time, deal with each day the best you can and keep going. I was diagnosed at age 42 but probably had it long before that. I am now 64 and still going. I stay as active as the disease allows me to be on any given day. Yes, I have slowed down but I'm much older too. I and intend to get much older than this, God willing.
I do have thee dreaded secondary prognoses. Got it when I was 62, paralized in three limbs, am now 74 and I'm still pecking on this iPad and smiling most days!
Thank you all so much, each and everyone one of you have made me feel much better :) x
Really ? needless worry. Get rid of it. It is not lethal. Driving a car can be.
@A MyMSTeam Member Honey...... I was diagnosed at 25... just turned fabulous and 50! I will admit I didn't believe I would be alive today..... Hah! But I sure wish someone told me then..... I would have "bought years" so I could retire early! ATTITUDE!
