I really didn't see my Neuro. Again until I had problems...probably not the best, either! Whatever you decide, I wish you the best...the drugs seem better than they were 20 years ago...more options!

I was diagnosed 19 years ago, and decided not to go on any ms meds...went six years with nothing, then had a massive exacerbation ...devastated me, as I really hadn't given much thought to the silent damage the ms was doing to the myelin in my brain! In some ways, I think I started thinking I'd been misdiagnosed....if I had to do it all again, I would definitely start on the meds. right away! Hope this helps!

Thank you all for replying... I feel so much better and I feel confident. I really don't want to give in with meds. I still believe natural way and I lose focus when there are loved once panicking and sharing there research about disease I'm battling!

GuinevereGibbs.. I did hear about the CBD oil.. Amazing. I believe it works. I watched Rick Simmon on YouTube. It looks complicated to make and I don't have that kind of money to make medicine myself.. Smoke version helps a lot with symptoms. I wish one day it will be available at the pharmacy.

Thank you all for sharing your story's.. It helps a lot. God Bless you all.

I was on Betaseron for 15 years. That was the only drug in the nineties. I was Dx in 1986 (33yrs old).So when Betaseron came along I jumped right on it. Warning a lot of depression with this drug. I finally got needle phobia and injection site calcifications. Enough was enough. My MRIs showed no new lesions for 10 yrs. Did it help or was it just the course of the disease? No one can answer that for me. I have not had any increase in disability since I've stopped. I am now 61 yrs old.

Thank you CaroleGloverPehta.. Even when you didn't take meds, did you still go for your routine MRI appointments? Did your neurologist monitor you? I appreciate your reply
