First dose of Nuvigil today, not impressed. Anyone try this for fatigue? Sleepy and jittery is not a good combo. Been 6 hours since I took it, when will it start wearing off??? I would rather be sleepy
I like vyvance take twice daily and does not affect sleep
Tried that harder for insurance to pay for, but they do pay for adderell and right now it helps, nothing works 100% of the time, still will need to lay down
Try needymeds.com, worked great for me. I don't pay anything.
I started Nuvigil this week, just a sample pack from my neuro since she says my insurance won't cover it. The pills are 150mg and she recommended I start with 1/3 of a pill and adjust up from there. The first day was bad, no help with the fatigue and got the jitters/out of body weirdness like with cold medicine. I took 1/3 again the next day just to be sure and it was MUCH better, my energy kicked up around lunchtime and lasted until 10pm (just in time for bed.) I woke up feeling like I had a hangover though, but decided to take the last 1/3 of the pill and it kicked in sooner (around 10am, I was taking them with my morning vitamins at 7:30) and lasted until midnight (i had a huge amount of schoolwork to get through that night so was grateful.) Didn't take any the next day and felt like a dead slug all day. Took 1/2 this morning and conquered the world, most productive day ever. So all in all, powerful stuff but must be used with great care. I think I will stick with 1/3 for day to day and up to 1/2 for extra busy days. Not sure how it will translate to Provigil, the version my insurance company will approve.
Hope this helps someone!
I take modafinil which is the less stronger cousin of Nuvigil. I would much rather be a Nuvigil because for me that worked much better. I would have loved to have kept taking it but even with the discount card it became too expensive. I have a friend who takes by Vyvanse . I have read articles that said it is much easier to manage than other drugs of it's type in terms of dosing and being awake or letting you sleep.
