MS And Interviewing
I am looking into starting school or a new job, but would need to go through the interview process. I am unsure how much to tell them during this process. I am on Tysabri, so I need to have a few hours out every month for the infusion. Should I tell them about the hours I'd need off or do I wait until I get further in the process? Has anyone had a good or bad experience in the past with telling the interviewer about your MS?
It's certainly a decision only you can make! Good Luck!!
I appreciate all your responses. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who has had this question before. I'll have to think more about all that you have said. Thanks!
Be Honest! Applaud that, despite the diagnosis, your ability is only limited to the things you haven't tried. If you've gotten this far, keep selling yourself. Good luck
I have never told a potential employer of my diagnosis before being hired...I prefer to get in, prove what I have to offer and then divulge when needed after that. Good luck with your decision, I know I've spent a lot of time thinking about this myself.
@A MyMSTeam Member Well in all honesty I think they are not allowed to discriminate you just because of a disease. As long as you can do the job at hand that is.
