I am finding that I need help getting around my home. I am seeing my neurologist tomorrow and I am planning to ask him about a wheelchair or scooter or something. My insurance will pay 100% if medically necessary. What has to be done on his part? Is it a prescription or more?

Nutrition is the key - with MS you need to read Dr Wahl's book on MS and Dr Joseph Mercola's book also - very informative

I have two walkers, one regular one and one with brakes and a seat. My problem is partly that I can not stand up, so when I'm using a walker I am putting big strain on my arms. When using the one with wheels, it goes to fast so I have to walk with the hand breaks kind of on. Again with the arms. Same with a cane, I used to use it for balance, but now it's holding me up. My right shoulder has bursitis . In it now and is swollen. I don't know what else to do.

Can you still walk at all? I would go to a walker first because once you use a wheelchair you never get out. I use a walker and it helps a ton. Just a suggestion.
