Jessica, my MRI did not indicate that anything was wrong either and it still doesn't show anything. There are other factors in determining if you have MS. Mine showed up in my eyes as optic neuritis and I actually went blind in my left eye. You have to be patient and try your best to remain calm. The worst thing you can do is get worked up and cause yourself stress! I went through a minimum of 7 neurologists before I found one that knew what MS was and how to identify it and treat it. As I indicated earlier, I've had MS since 2002 but not diagnosed until April 2015. Take baby steps and one day at a time.

You do not have to have lesions in an MRI to have MS or to show a relapse. mS can show in the brain, spinal cord, spjnal fluid, in the eyes, (optic neuritis) and in the spinal fluid. That's how my dr. Explained it to me anyway.....

I was diagnosed with MS back in 2006. I just recently had a relapes back in March. I went for a MRI of the brain and spine, with and without contrast and it came back as no new activity or Lesions. My neurologist acted like he didn't believe me and thought I was crazy. I know my own body and I know how a relapes feels. I have also in the pass complaint about other things and he again acted like it was no big deal, that I was lying, or that he didn't care. I ended up firing him and found a new neurologist, that actually cares and listens to me. Anyways, I do believe, you can have a relapes without having any new activity or Lesions.

You need to go back go back to your Neuro and ask if the MRI was done with and without MRI Ganglion.

Most Neuros generally just do a Brain MRI and I'm assuming that's what your had. Than if it's confirmed that the MRI was done with and without dye and it did show no new lesions tough you're experiencing your new symptoms than you might consider talking to your Neuro about have a Cervical Spine MRI done.

Before being officially diagnosed my initial Brain MRI showed no lesions, upon immediately hearing these results I requested a Cervical Spine MRI to be done. The Cervical Spine MRI is the one that confirmed my diagnosis.

I wish there were dated next to the comments. You need MRI w and w out contrast. Lumbar puncture to check spinal fluid. There are many neurological and other disorders with these symptoms. You don't want to be misdiagnosed to have MS.
