I think what drives me crazy the most about this MS is being so tired! I mean it takes everything out of me to just shower and get ready! I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired! My neuro prescribed me Anantadine. I have not started it yet because of the infections I have been treating, but has anyone had experience with this med to treat fatigue?

I haven't tried that med yet but my doctor put me on adderal which works wonders for me, that is the only way I am able to function. Even with the adderal I still have a hard time getting ready every day. It's like I have to take a nap after showering before I can finish getting ready... Gotta love MS

Don't know about drug haven't taken it But I agree with you about fatigue does same for me when shower wash hair forget it! I am so wore out have rest afterwards Don't have a clue how I did it when was able work!
Nothing seems help- Was told not take hot shower or bath so do lukewarm tried a cold one but can't take them! Less fatigue but didn't seem make much difference just made me cold! I do cheat every once in while and take hot bath when go to bed so sleep off fatigue!

That's how I felt on provigil! It's truly amazing when we find something that works! My doctor is fighting the insurance company now to get me the provigil

I have been on amantadine for about a year . I take 100 mg 2x a day , while sometimes it feels like it doesn't work, if i miss it for some reason I can definitely tell a difference. When I first started it , it was like a miracle .. good luck

I have used Amantadine. Honestly, I didn't find it as effective as Provigil, but even with that I still have to deal with a lot of fatigue. I find if I take one in the morning and one at noon I do a lot better with that mid-afternoon slump since morning is when I have most of my energy. I really need to take two every day. Talk to your neuro about Provigil and see if s/he will prescribe it for you.
