Members responded with overwhelming support to the question of whether it is normal to feel angry when others don't understand life with MS, and the community's resounding answer was yes. Many members described the emotional rollercoaster of MS, including frustration over speech difficulties, financial stress, caregiving burdens, and loss of independence, with several noting that counseling and antidepressants have helped them cope. A recurring theme was that anger is a valid and human response to MS, but that leaning on faith, community, and professional support helps keep the illness from taking over.

Of course it's normal to get mad at times. It's akin to grieving a loss. MS robs you of the life you once had, and now you have to deal with what is. It's taken me 9 years to accept what is. Only my faith in God keeps me going.
