Because this "wonderful" disease comes from our heads, I wonder about the pains in my head. I had an MRI last year that didn't show anything different from the original in 1998. Does anyone else have these pains?

I understand. Optic neuritis and fatigue were my first symptoms of MS. After 20 plus years of dealing with vision problems, my last annual eye exam showed that my vision improved! I too, was in shock! I did tell my doctor that maybe it's the carrots! After my dogs eat their breakfast, all of them plus myself, get to enjoy a few fresh carrots prior to going outside to feed the wild rabbits. I continue to eat carrots every single day. So now, if my vision does not stabilize or improve, you know that I will be asking my doctor.. "What's up doc?"

Thank you for the birthday wishes. I occasionally have pains in my jaws and I don't think my chewing is on level if that makes any sense. I bite my inside cheek quite often. My vision problem in my right eye is from glaucoma which I have had over 40 years. I have just enough vision to give me double vision. I go to a neuro-opthomologist with Guthrie. He has done surgery on me 3 times. He is great. I see him again next Friday. Have a good day.

CoolLioness - I also get Momentum mag. and enjoy the articles. I enjoyed the one about the flu shot. It is comforting to know that research is being done in several areas. Last week was a bad one for headaches but this week is okay. I will discuss it at my next appointment. I also have Optic Neuritis in my left eye and I will see my eye doctor this month. Losing my eyesight terrifies me. Have a good day.

@A MyMSTeam Member I understand. I ignored the leg weakness due to age & because it progressively got worse with the more hours I worked on my feet, at least until my legs fell out from beneath me, that is. The only symptom I ever felt before was neurological was the tremor in my right hand that was present since about 28 years...I chose to ignore that though. Of course now I'm wondering what my optic nerve looks like.

My method to decrease the pain of any headache, depends upon the time... If I wake up in the middle of the night, I will take 'Bayer Advanced' pain relief. If I still have the headache once I wake up, or a new one during the day, coffee. Plus 'Excedrin Migraine'. The caffeine opens up the blood vessels a bit to ease the pain. Oh, and a staple to my wardrobe... Sunglasses.
