Hi - My wife has lesions only on brain - she had relapses in 2003 2009 2015 used to take prednycelone only - but now started Gilenya fingolimod 0.5mg 1 per day n 50mg oral prednycelone (along with vitamin pills). Neuro asked us to use for few months

I only have lesions on my brain as well.

I only have MS in my brain .. Spinal tap shows high protein levels only.. But I can't find a neuro who takes Fl Medicaid so unfortunately they have not even gave me a final DX which is worse cause my symptoms are getting worse and worse mostly my memory and my moods, depression and anxiety horrible !!!! Still I am looking for a neurologist in south Florida ... 😒

Hi @A MyMSTeam Member, I hope that you are doing well today. My neurologist immediately put my on Avonex when he got my first MRI back. This was before I had a clinical diagnosis (two separate exacerbations). He was very assertive and put me on a course of IV Solumedrol with an oral Prednisone taper even though my bout with double vision and crossed eyes had passed. Yes I said crossed eyes (yuck) which meant brain stem lesion. Talk about being scared, I was 32 years old with 3 kids. Luckily I had a very supportive husband and good therapist that helped me get past the initial shock. I am now 51 yrs. old and to ease your mind a little bit, I'm doing ok. :-)
