My dog is very loving and helps me take him for walks. He waits patiently for me to take needed steps and will pull me up small hillsides. My cat comforts me as I am alone and he is my buddy. My dog lays at end of bed. I just had my second and last child leave the nest. My other son is 31 and living his own life. He comes and visits when I ask. My pets help me get physical and give me emotional help. They're my true friends.

I dog is a must in my life and especially now. They understand if your having a good day or not. If you need a snuggle friend, they will be there. I have two dogs currently. I can explain my problems and frustration and they just listen. Best support system out there. Paws up...

I got my dog a few months after diagnosis. She was five weeks and ended up having a virus called parvo, which kills about 80% of puppies infected. She spent a week in the hospital and came home to us. We made a pact then to be brave together. We have a special bond and she always wants to cuddle.

I have three dogs and they know when I'm having a bad day and follow me everywhere I go in the house. I can tell when I need to stop being stubborn and just take it easy when all three of them escort me to the bathroom. Instead of just one of them shadowing my every step I get a full furry entourage. They're my fur babies and really make the bad days a lot easier to handle.
