Currently taking a 5 day course of IV steroids in hopes of having my current symptoms subside. My vision has been blurry in one eye for a month . Has anyone had any success following IV steroids?

HI Tandy. I have been on IV steroids a lot. Meaning around 6 times. I of course had followed up with a tapering dose orally. And for me, I knew I was going to be almost normal. I looked forward to the normal but not the weight gain side effect. But I got through it. I wasn't afraid of the IV. For me, it worked. Wishing you the best. :)

@A MyMSTeam Member I went off of Copaxone for 2 months recently and tried Aubagio. I had a flare up for the first time in 18 years. Also developed a severe full body rash from Aubagio. So happy to be back on Copaxone!! i won't be trying another drug even if it is more convenient for quite awhile. All good again too.

I have optic neuritis and I just got finished with three days of iv steroids with a 12 day follow up with steroidsome orally
My flare up was in my eyes also, not having too many issues right now. This was my 2nd steroid treatment in a yr. Seems to help in the long run, I still have my vision =) However, when I am on copaxone that is the only n one that seems to help with my eyes and other flare ups. I went off of it for awhile and tried Tecfidera. That made my eyes worse and spleen issues. Now back on copaxone and all seems to be good again.

I was put on oral steroids earlier this year, for a bad sinus infection, and it caused my eyes to get blurry, went to eye dr. Aparently the steroids escalated my cataracts, and had to schedule surgery right away. Now am having issues with high pressure in one of my eyes, they suspect Glaucoma. Always something. But I can see better with implants and new glasses.
