Is it normal for my "brain fog" to be getting worse instead of better after IV steroids? I'm newly diagnosed but feel like I'm not going in the right direction. I have gone from extremely active to just barely getting through the day. Any insight would be very helpful.
Steroids suck I an 14 yrs in- relapses averting 2-4 times yearly steroids every single time. The 2-4 is believe it or not actually controlled. It was way worse prior. I am very active in my medical choices, and have educated myself. I encourage you to do the dame- there are ways to get your lie back and medicines to combat your feeling!
Exercises on your worst days will help you! Any questions from either of the above are encouraged and I am willing to support!
I hated steroids. I'm new too and had my first steroids in May then again in July, altho I had a seizure that took my memory away for all of April and most of May, finding out some memory gone from further back, I for sure had Cog-Fog for the 3 days of steroids and the time I was on prednisone. Awful stuff, but the pain in my eye went away with one dose of the steroid drip, so better than possibly going blind, right.
It took me several weeks to feel better this last time I had steroids, and I actually felt worse for about a week before it got to where it started, then lifted.
Thank you. I was hoping this was the case. :-)
