I was on techfidera in its trial studies. I never had an issue with it even when I knew for sure I was really taking it. I lost out on taking it before it was FDA approved due to a viral infection I contracted. I went on rebif after that for 3 years. Now I am on aubagio and I lost a lot of hair and have diarrhea. I will now be going off of it after only a year of being on it because it is not effective. If I had the choice between the two it would be techfidera. I have had more relapses in the last year then the entire time I've had MS. I was diagnosed in 2007.

I'm right there with you on the meds question! Techfludera scared me off because of my high JC virus count. The virus itself is found in most of us, but apparently my level was high. Aubagio has been very tolerable (just a little hair loss the first couple months, which for an already prematurely balding forties male doesn't matter) and some diarrhea. I'm also seeing my neuro right before thanksgiving. My concern, based on recent MRI results, is the apparent lack of efficacy for Aubagio on me.

I have been on both. I prefer Tecfidera due to horrible diarrhea from Aubagio. Currently on Tecfidera and get blood tests each month. No big deal for me.

@A MyMSTeam Member. I take Ampyrha which helps a tinge. My main problem with my MS is legs fatiguing is my issue. Frustrating.....; (
