Plasmapheresis
Plasmapheresis, very scared. Having my 2nd round of steriods this week. If not better my Dr. said I will need to be admitted 10 days to have a plasma exchange. Can anyone share there experience. I don't know how I am going to go without seeing my kidos for 10 days. Tears...
What kind of tremors? I have them in my legs and hands, but they are related to spasticity. Is that what you mean?
It took 18 months of being on Tysabri for me to get the most benefit. I had steady improvement throughout the treatments, but by 18 months I felt like a "new" person.
Sorry you're still in the midst of your relapse. But at least you don't have to be away from your kids for a long hospital stay. :)
Thank you all for the positive and uplifting words. I have been on high dose steriods every week for the past month and only getting worse. So I guess I will bite the bullet and just do it. The Dr explain that my body is trying to create antibodies again the Tysabri, which is not good because if it does I can no long use that drug, but if he puts new antibodies in my body that do not know how to act it will give the Tysabri a chance to build up.
I'm so sorry you are having so many problems. I know nothing of this procedure. Please know that you're in my thoughts & prayers. Hoping this helps you & gets you back to feeling better asap! Take care!
