Do any of you experience occasional waves of pressure through your head, particularly in the temples? It's almost like a sinus headache mixed with a tension headache. Sometimes it feels like there's a vice pushing on my temples and my head is going to implode, but it's more of a pressure and a dull pain. This is often mixed with spells of dizziness and swirly eyeballs(nystagmus?) So strange, anyone else?

Members responded to a question about head and temple pressure with many sharing similar experiences of throbbing eye pain, electrical sensations, dizziness, and waves of pressure that often worsen as the day goes on. Several members shared that their symptoms were linked to migraines, MS, Trigeminal Neuralgia, or TMJ, and practical relief strategies mentioned included Botox injections, migraine medications, Omega-3 and CoQ10 supplements, and generic antihistamines. A recurring theme was the comfort of knowing others share these strange and sometimes frightening sensations, along with encouragement to keep advocating with doctors.

I know I sometimes grind my teeth at night, the dentist has tried to get me to get a mouth guard ("Hi honey...slurp!) which I think can lead to TMJ, right? So maybe that's it, but my husband hasn't been sleeping well and he usually hears me when I do it and hasn't said anything, so maybe not. Ah, the constant mystery! Time for some yoga, which can only help.

I also have those sensations. I don't have any great info though since I am newly diagnosed and still trying to figure things out but I thought I would at mention you are not alone.

Hmmm. I've felt what you are describing but not as often or intense. I too grind my teeth. I have TMJS and I just hated my moth guard. I need another tho as now I'm losing teeth due to grinding. Oddly I've also have jaw bone loss but that's likely from periodontal disease.
I have a migraine disorder, which often does not cause pain but vision issues, sensations and an odd feeling. I take 100mg Omega 3 & CoQ10 150mg to prevent them. It really works. Best of luck!
