I was reading some articles online about MS today, and it stated that the MONO virus COULD be linked to MS. I was just curious, how many of us have had the virus? I have.
It's the Epstein Barr Virus (which is associated with Mono) that can cause the susceptibility to MS. There is a ton of research going on now about how antivirals may help MS patients.
@A MyMSTeam Member my instincts tell me you did and just didn't know it. Lucky you. Perhaps the next time you have to have blood drawn you could ask the doctor requesting it if they would also look for epstein barr? To all of you who had mono, and suffered with it (I hope this reaches you without my putting @ and all of your names, not sure) I am right there with you. 2 months of my life pretty much lost in a fog of sleep. Slept so much I had to cut my hair from weakened spots and one bald spot. Now almost 25 years later I still feel echos of it. I honestly do not think my life has been the same since.
Mono causes the epstein barr virus, and from what i understand that is the link you are looking for.
I agree with Caddyjohn....they give it and they profit.....medical lifecycle with big pharma
