I read this in the Professional version of the Merck Manual:
"MS is believed to involve an immunologic mechanism. One postulated cause is infection by a latent virus (possibly a human herpesvirus such as Epstein-Barr virus), which, when activated, triggers a secondary autoimmune response."

So I was intrigued to read up on this. So I just read that the Epstein Barr Virus can trigger your MS faster. If you were already diagnosed with MS you would have Mono and a relapse. If you were not diagnosed yet you were feeling the mono plus a relapse or your first signs of MS and were not diagnosed. So basically when you had Mono your symptoms of MS were there just not caught. So when I was 14 and had Mono I was having a relapse as well and didn't know it. I thought about this before. Of when everything started, and I have said when I was 14. I was so sick 4 months I had to be home schooled in that time, crazy.

I was 11. Darn near killed me. Chickenpox at 41, I had Scarlet fever as a toddler. Pretty much sickly all my life.

I had it. I had Mono, tonsillitis and sinusitis all at the same time. No fun
