As for ON. The first time I went blind in my left eye for a day n then it was so sensitive to light n stimulating that it was extremely painful. Over the years my eyes have become "funcky". If I saw straight I'd think something was wrong.
When I received my first glasses to help correct some damage I seen colors so clear I was bawling in the middle of the dept. Store. It really didn't last long though. Some days I see well enough others it's a struggle.
Do whatever you can. I didn't understand about it. It wasn't explained to me. So be your own best advocate, push the drs. and take victims for your eyes n eat the food that are good for your eyes.

KarinElizabeth , yes the medicine is not great to our bodies. Alas, we get to make the deciding decisions on quality of life. Find a new doctor and don't stop till you follow. Find a balance between western medicine, holistic and however you practice your faith. We only have each morning daily breathe so live it to the best you can. To give up is to give in. You made my heart saddened but don't lose yourself. If you haven't started solumedrol make the call, it works . I hope you find relief.

I see an opthalmologist, but have never experienced optic neuritis. Had nystagmus and double vision both of which cleared up with rest. If we could only rest forever and let others take care of all our work, our bodies might repair themselves - at least some if not totally. Ah, dreams! Prednisone drips worked for me for other MS problems, but I hear you about the used-up veins. My left arm is like that. And it's painful when they jab and can't find a suitable vein. I hope the medical community can find something to help you. Long ago my doctor suggested Zinc supplements for eyesight. My eyesight is getting blurrier, but my "whippersnapper" opthalmologist says it's "old age eyes". I gave him a dirty look and he tried backtracking. All the best to you.

Hope you have gotten some answers by now or at least finding DRs. I am in search of A DR right now also. My Neuro just told me about having Optic Neuritis and put me on Predisone tablets. Loosing site is a scary thing!
