Anyone had success with stem cell?
I have a friend in the states who did the treatment in Russia and she is thriving!!!
My doctor told me about this. They seem to bet resting only PPMS and SPMS with this therapy but not RRMS. At least not yet anyway. I've heard some really great things about it. It's basically like chemo, kill off the immune system to allow it to reboot itself.
@A MyMSTeam Member You are correct! But there is tons of research out there. Due diligence is always key. Do you find it weird that DMD's need a 50% chance of proven fact that it works to get approved & some treatments are proven over 80% real close to 90% & still they don't get approved?
The trial I am shooting for is HSCT. My insurance will pay for it, so I am lucky! And they use your own stem cells.
I will let you know. I am waiting for a dare for my HSCT. You gotta be careful with stem cells. It really the chemo. The stem cells are only used to help rebuild the immune system. There not really needed but make recovery a lot quicker.
